These would include but are not limited to humidifiers, air
cleaners, zone systems, air to air exchangers and radiant
in floor heating.
The
most common humidifier is an Aprilaire model 600, which is
a bypass humidifier and only works when your furnace is running.
It takes us about 1 -3 hours to install this humidifier and
costs $400.00. If you have a humidifier installed at the same
time as another installation you can deduct $35.00. Another
common humidifier is an Aprilaire model 700 humidifier. This
humidifier costs $100.00 more than the model 600.
An
Aprilaire high efficiency media filter air cleaner model 2400
costs $385.00 and takes 2-4 hours to install. The 2400 air
cleaner with media technology filters the air down to 1 micron.
This cleaner is most effective on dust and pollen.
If
you have allergies or are concerned with smaller pollutants
such as bacteria then the Aprilaire 5000 air cleaner would
be right for you. This air cleaner utilizes dual technology,
the media filter plus it's an electronic air cleaner. This
technology removes 94% down to .35 microns and 99.5% on 1
micron and larger. The cost for the 5000 including installation
is $815.00.
